Have goals. Write them down. Have a daily “To Do” list. Rank 1-6, not 1-50. If every thing is a priority, nothing’s a priority. You’ll feel the success. Budget (money, time, energy.) Have boundaries with money, people, and negative thoughts. Bring your goals alive. If it’s money you want, why do you want it? What will you do with it? What does the end result look like? What does it feel like? Describe the experience to yourself versus just having a number in your head. Unrealistic expectations create stress. Setting your goals high is great, but plan to put some skin in the game. Daily, make a “God’s ‘To-Do’ List.” God clears the path and guides us to the right people, places, events and things. Our job is to grasp the opportunities, and follow through.
Three things that get in the way of wealth: Taxes ~ Inflation ~ Debt.
Most debt is voluntary. It’s emotionally based. Look at your clothing, tattoos, car, or your watch. . . Why did you buy them? You LIKED them.
Budgeting isn’t punishment. It’s an opportunity to make conscious choices. It’s not saying you can’t have something. It’s a reminder of your priorities. Is eating out every week really enjoyable for you? Or is it habit?
One of college football’s most successful coaches, Lou Holtz, would ask his players, “W-I- N ?” (What’s Important Now?) – For them it may have been getting to class, studying, going home and to bed instead of trolling the streets for action. For someone saying they want to Welcome Wealth, maybe it’s having an accountability partner. Maybe it’s setting or keeping boundaries with people, money and time.
