Affirmative Prayer. Step 2 of 6. Unification.

Now that you’ve recognized God in step one, unify with It in step two. (I’ll use “It” because if God is an energy, It’s neither male nor female.) You may feel you’re talking yourself into believing there’s no separation between you and God. That’s exactly what you’re doing. There’s no separation between God and you. You don’t need to prove to God you’re one with It; you need to prove it to yourself.

You’re not trying to “get” anything from God. All you’re doing is opening to what God has already given you. God blinks your eyes, beats your heart, and circulates your blood, pumping your heart. It all happens as your Divine birthright. You’re worthy. So worthy, in fact, that you are one with God. God works in, around, through and for you. This step is about proving your worth to yourself, not God. God is omnipresent, omnipotent, and omniscient. You may turn your back on God, but you can’t be without It.

We’re each like a drop of water in the ocean. God (the ocean) is every part of us (the drops of water). We (the drops of water) are part of God (the ocean). Every time  we unify in our mind with the magnificence of the One Power, we’re sending a message tot he Universe that we know the Truth of our Being, and are ready to accept our Good accordingly.

With the first two affirmative steps, recognition and unification, we come to the realization and conviction that you need nothing outside of yourself. No person, place or circumstance has power over you and your good. The Creative Intelligence is already within you, waiting for you to use It. If we’re unaware or don’t consciously direct this Power, it’s much like sitting in a dark room. Electricity has always been available—it waited for our discovery of it.

List five examples for yourself how you and God are unified:

2.
