New Thought Lent

Lent is a 40 weekday custom observed by some Christians preceding Easter, between Ash Wednesday and Holy Saturday. Traditionally, Lent is observed by fasting, abstinence, and penitence. This is to commemorate Christ’s 40 days in the wilderness. A common way to observe Lent is through self- denial. Some people give up drinking alcohol, their favorite food, or fast during the day.

What if we decided to turn this “self-denial” into a positive experience? How about denying ourselves low-vibration activities such as negative thinking, swearing, bad-mouthing ourselves, others, or money? If Lent is the time to raise our consciousness, why not demonstrate this by nurturing our minds, bodies, and souls?

Give up suffering. Step into allowing. Let your Light shine.
